Treatment
Initial Assessment
When we have received your referral form we will contact you to agree an appointment time.
Depending on the nature of your referral you may see one or several of our health professionals for an initial assessment.
After the assessment we will produce a brief report outlining the main issues and potential treatment with the anticipated outcome. The costs associated with the treatment will also be detailed.
Treatment
When our report is accepted and funding in place, treatment is planned in more detail. We listen to you and other health professionals involved in your care before preparing a treatment plan. We pride ourselves on identifying the right goals in partnership with you and work hard to help you achieve them.
We may also request that you provide us with some information, in the form of a questionnaire, about how you perceive your situation before we start the planned treatment. We will then request the same kind of information at the end of the treatment. This will help us measure the impact of the program. You are of course free not to provide such information and if you choose not to, it will not have any impact on the treatment we deliver.
Most of our treatment regimes will involve a number of visits with different healthcare professionals, working together or separately.
We know that the time we spend together is an important element in successful treatment. We never compromise on this and always schedule appointments to give you our undivided attention for as long as you need it.
The duration of periods of treatment will vary. We will be explicit at the outset on our expectations from the treatment and keep you and other professionals interested in your case regularly informed of progress.
Once we have completed an episode of treatment we may recommend further interventions or follow-up appointments. The details will depend on individual circumstances. We will also inform any referring party of the outcome and any further recommendations.
