Right from the start, PACE has been at the forefront of developments within their field. We were the first independent organisation of our kind, offering clients access to a wide range of rehabilitation professionals delivered by a single provider.
Our clinicians come from many fields – prosthetics, orthotics, occupational therapy, physiotherapy, therapeutic services, with access to surgery and other related medical areas. They work as a close-knit responsive team focused on a patient's individual needs.
We have strong views on what matters most in successful treatment programmes apart from our professional competence. The best outcome can only be achieved when there is full commitment from both the clinical team and the patient. We recognise the need to communicate well, setting challenging but realistic goals and work hard with patient to achieve them.
Together with the patient we will determine what is the most appropriate equipment to provide. We will also make sure our patient know how to use it to best effect. Many patients who receives a prosthesis or an orthosis from us will be encouraged to undertake a course of physiotherapy to ensure they become fully familiar with the equipment and understand how to get the most benefit from it.
We currently offer the following clinical services:
Therapeutic Services and hypnotherapy, including the PACE Buddy Scheme
Inter–disciplinary consultation with other specialities including plastic surgery, orthopaedic surgery and vascular surgery
Specialist investigation including X-Ray, MRI scanning, blood and tissue testing
