Effective Rehabilitation Seminar (London, October 2008)
More than 100 delegates attended the ‘Effective Rehabilitation with Bionic Technology Seminar’, held at the Wellcome Collection in Euston, London on 29th October.
The event, organised by PACE, together with organisations sharing our vision of how best to deliver rehabilitation services, provided attendees with an opportunity to learn more about PACE’s multi-disciplinary team approach and how it is successfully applied to support their clients.
Presentations from a variety of speakers covered different aspects of rehabilitation services and highlighted the crucial elements. The speakers demonstrated the positive impact and outcomes that can be achieved, confirmed by a ‘real life’ account from PACE patient, Albert Thomson. His inspiring account was well received by the packed audience.
Leading providers of ‘bionic’ technologies, Ossur and Touch Bionics, demonstrated their recent advances in prosthetic technologies before delegates had an opportunity to informally meet and discuss with presenters afterwards.
